With over 100 miles of picturesque trails and nearly 9,000 acres of rolling open space, the City of Santa Clarita is the place to be for outdoor adventurers and enthusiasts.

In Santa Clarita, explorers can rock climb at Vasquez Rocks, take scenic hikes on one of the many trails, or go boating, water skiing and kayaking at Castaic Lake, Lake Piru and Pyramid Lake. Residents can also enjoy Santa Clarita’s beautiful 36 parks, where they can hit the field to play their favorite sports, play with their dogs in the off-leash areas, or picnic in the great outdoors.

The City’s Sports Complex, featuring a 40,000 square foot skate park, is home to indoor sporting gymnasiums, racquetball courts, recreational rooms, and more. The brand-new Trek Bike Park offers riders seven acres to ride, practice jumps, and develop skills for both BMX and mountain biking. At The Cube – Ice and Entertainment Center, Powered by FivePoint | Valencia, our City’s newly renovated ice rink, skaters can enjoy 93,000 square-feet of skating, relaxation and event space, as well as Olympic and NHL size ice sheets. The Santa Clarita Aquatic Center boasts a three-acre multi-pool aquatic facility featuring a world-class Olympic sized pool and aquatic opportunities for every level of swimmer.

Santa Clarita also offers a variety of recreational activities through the City’s quarterly SEASONS magazine. SEASONS offers hundreds of adult and youth activities and sports to encourage healthy lifestyles. Classes range from infant child development and adult courses, to youth sports and summer camp opportunities.
