Resources for Job Seekers

  • Rider Relief Transportation Program
    • Riders eligible for the program receive a six month coupon book which includes a $10 subsidy for each month to apply towards the purchase of a local Santa Clarita Transit monthly bus pass.  Applications are processed on Tuesdays between 9:00 a.m. and 1:00p.m. at the AJCC.   Please bring a valid ID, TAP Card, and proof of income (i.e. check stub, tax return, or proof of public benefit document).
  • Library Resources for Job Seekers
    • The Santa Clarita Public Library offers a wide variety of resources for job seekers, including interactive online help combined with online resources to guide you through the necessary tasks to get a job. First-time users may have to create an account with these free resources.
  • CalJobs
    • The CalJOBS system is California’s online resource to help job seekers and employers navigate the state’s workforce services. The enhanced system allows users to easily search for jobs, build résumés, access career resources, find qualified candidates for employment, and gather information on education and training programs.

Minimum Wage
The City of Santa Clarita follows the minimum wage requirements set by the State of California. Effective January 1, 2018, the minimum wage for all industries is $11.00/hour for businesses with 26 or more employees and $10.50/hour for businesses with 25 or fewer employees. The minimum wage will be adjusted yearly through 2023.  Get more information and the yearly adjustment schedule.
